Striking Gold: Crestview 4th Graders Bring the Gold Rush to Life

At Crestview Preparatory School, fourth-grade students stepped back in time as their Gold Rush unit came to life through an engaging afternoon of hands-on activities. Students eagerly hunted and panned for gold, tested their luck in lively rounds of faro and bingo, and enjoyed an authentic miner’s meal – complete with butter they churned themselves. The immersive experience deepened their understanding of history while making learning both memorable and fun. Special thanks go to Ms. Mirabian, Mr. Brock, and the many parent volunteers whose time and creativity made this enriching event possible for the students.
