Student-Led Teach-In Fosters Dialogue and Civic Engagement at Westridge School

Student leaders in the Upper School at Westridge School recently organized an optional lunchtime teach-in to provide context and encourage thoughtful discussion around the nationwide strike and the ICE Out movement. The student-led gathering created a respectful space for learning and dialogue, reflecting a commitment to informed civic engagement.

In addition to facilitating conversation, students led a letter-writing campaign, shared resources for deeper exploration of the issues, and compiled a list of local volunteer opportunities for those interested in taking action within the community. Westridge School is proud of its students’ willingness to engage meaningfully with the world around them and their courage to use their voices with care and purpose.
