Teachers Pull Off Upset in Chandler’s First-Ever Kickball Showdown

After weeks of playful banter and bold predictions, Chandler’s First Annual Teachers vs. 5th Grade Kickball Tournament finally arrived. With a crowd of Lower School students cheering them on, the heavily favored 5th graders took the field ready to claim victory. But teachers had other plans. Behind millennial/Gen X veteran strategy, questionable athleticism and an unwavering commitment to defending their reputation, the faculty pulled off a stunning upset, defeating the Class of 2029 in a 15–7 victory. The 5th graders showed plenty of heart, hustle and sportsmanship, while teachers proved that experience still counts for something. Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer, laugh and make this inaugural event one to remember. “We have a feeling the rematch negotiations are already underway once teachers recover.”
