Technology Program at Bosco Tech

Each student completes Bosco Tech’s unique technology program which provides hands-on lab and theory coursework in one of six engineering areas of study:

Architecture & Construction Engineering (ACE)

Architecture is the art of creating space for human use, while civil engineering ensures those spaces are safe for human use. ACE combines these two co-dependent disciplines into one curriculum. ACE integrates architectural design with civil structural engineering concepts. ACE students complete courses in architectural design theory and application, civil engineering theory and application, and Green Technology and application.

Biological, Medical, and Environmental Technology (BMET)

In BMET, Bosco Tech’s newest technology major, students learn about two of the most complex systems ever discovered: living organisms and the environments on which they depend. They will be well-prepared for college-level studies in medicine/health, life sciences, bio-engineering, and environmental science.

Computer Science & Electrical Engineering (CSEE)

From the iPhone to hybrid vehicles to advanced medical imaging, computer scientists and electrical engineers have had a powerful impact on the way we live today. CSEE’s program engages students in hands-on exploration of everything from the underlying technology that powers search engines like Google to the microcontroller technology at the heart of today’s most advanced robotics devices. CSEE students are not only well prepared for the future – they’ll help create it!

Integrated Design, Engineering & Art (IDEA)

As you look around, every product you see began as an idea. The progression from concept to real life is a process called design. IDEA focuses on the process of developing products using creativity, imagination, and applied sciences. Students learn to use cutting-edge tools to develop and communicate their vision, then produce prototypes to bring their concepts to life. IDEA is creating the next generation of innovators who will provide solution to the complex challenges facing tomorrow’s world.

Material Science, Engineering & Technology (MSET)

From the carbon-fiber bodies of Indy 500 race cars to the coatings on the surfaces of jet fighters that allow them to evade enemy radar; our world is in constant search of new and better materials. MSET students apply science and technology to explore the properties of the things we build. Turning science fiction into science fact requires the improvements of existing materials and the invention of new ones. Which new material will you help create?

Media Arts & Technology (MAT)

To reach a diverse audience, today’s mobile, multitasking society requires a coordinated multi-level media campaign that includes 2D graphics, 3D animation, interactive web sites, and video. Using cutting edge Apple computers, MAT students explore their creative potential and develop technical expertise in a variety of media. MAT students blend science, art, and technology to find new ways to communicate complex messages. MAT graduates will be at the forefront of the media revolution shaping the world of tomorrow.
