The 2020 Clairbourn Engineering Design Challenge

Eighth-graders Matthew R. and Austin H. had the overall winning crane design, for Grades 4-8, which simply and elegantly met all of the specifications and requirements of the 2020 Clairbourn Engineering Design Challenge. Their design lifted 950 pennies (2,375 grams) before the crane failed under additional weight. Congratulations go to the winners and all of the participants for developing their design, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
