Two SPUSD Teachers Receive Outstanding Educator Awards

On Thursday, May 30, 2024, California Assemblymember Mike Fong presented the second annual Outstanding Educator Awards to local teachers including two from South Pasadena Unified School District.

Congratulations to Katy Chen, SPMS math teacher, and Holly Lang, Marengo second grade teacher, who were nominated for the award by members of the public from throughout the San Gabriel Valley. The award recognizes educators from the 49th Assembly District who have displayed dedication, passion and tireless efforts to empower and inspire the next generation of leaders.
