Second grade engineers at Washington Elementary STEM Magnet in Mr. Renteria’s class are getting hands-on in the STEM Lab as they explore real-world science concepts. Students are investigating erosion and designing creative solutions to protect Abuela’s house from a potential landslide. Through teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving, they test their ideas and learn how engineering can help solve environmental challenges. The project encourages curiosity while connecting classroom learning to situations students can imagine and understand.
