Waverly School Students Explore Solar Power with Hands-On Learning and S’mores!



Waverly School students learn by DOING! With this heat wave, the sun is a recent topic of discussion in a third and fourth-grade class. Last week, students used infrared thermometers to measure the heat emitted off different surfaces around the school throughout the day. The class talked about solar panels and how to harness energy from the sun. Then the class made solar ovens to enjoy s’mores.
