Weizmann Day School’s Students Artworks Entered in LA County Student Art Exhibition



Artwork from six of Weizmann Day School students were recently entered in a Los Angeles County Student Art Exhibition. The goal of this L.A. County Student Art Contest is to showcase outstanding artwork. Winning entries will be recognized at a County Board of Education meeting on March 18, 2014. Three works from the kindergarten students — peacock drawings by Alan, Lucy, and Stevie, and three works done by second and third graders — Garden/Art class drawings by Anastasia, Sydney, and Sarai were submitted.

The Los Angeles County Office of Education is hosting an arts competition to showcase the outstanding artwork created by K-12 students at the annual Los Angeles County Student Art Contest. Students may submit their work for review. All submissions will receive a certificate of participation. Student artists whose works are selected to have exceptional merit will be recognized at a Los Angeles County Board of Education meeting on March 18, 2014. Districts are encouraged to participate and may submit eight pieces of art from each school at the elementary (grades 1-5), middle (grades 6-8), and high school (grades 9-12) levels.
