Westridge School’s Cum Laude Society Inductees Celebrated for Academic Achievement

22 students were recently inducted into Westridge School’s Cum Laude Society, an organization that recognizes academic achievement in secondary schools for the purpose of promoting three essential qualities: excellence, justice, and honor. The Cum Laude recipients for 2020 and 2021 were recognized by Head of School Elizabeth J. McGregor and Director of Upper School Gary Baldwin at the ceremony where students received their society pins.

“You represent ‘the right kind of excellence’ – that is true to the timeless essence of Westridge, in that engages the heart, intellect, body and soul,” said Head of School Elizabeth J. McGregor in her remarks. “It is our hope that by accepting the honor of membership to this society you not only make a commitment to life-long learning and the search for greater understanding of the world in which we live, but that you also dedicate yourselves to leading an ethical and purposeful life.”

Established in 1906, the Cum Laude Society is recognized both nationally and internationally to promote learning and sound scholarship.
