Westridge Upper School Students Watch Las Colibrí, An All-Female Mariachi Band!

Last Friday, a group of Westridge Upper School students and teachers took a trip down to The Ford in Hollywood to see a thrilling performance by Las Colibrí, an all-female mariachi band! “One of the goals of the Spanish office is to connect the students with more opportunities to experience Latin culture and this was one of those opportunities,” said Upper School Spanish Teacher Dr. Jessica Pérez del Toro. It was also a nice way to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, which began on September 15.
