Willard IB Magnet School Teacher to Join Earthwatch Expedition in Ecuador

Willard IB Magnet School teacher Dianne Cahir is working on a week-long expedition with ‎Earthwatch‬ Expedition to study climate change and caterpillars in Ecuador within the cloud forest.

Cahir will bring her experience back to the classroom. She plans to incorporate this research with the scientist on caterpillars and the climates affect on them, and their habitat into two IB units: How we Organize Ourselves (Careers) and Sharing the Planet (Living Things… body parts and behaviors).

Sounds exciting, right?! Great first-person knowledge for our students. You can read more about Earthwatch at www.Earthwatch.org.
