A chart of poll results on the key question at hand, provided by David Binder Research after their Jan. 30- Feb. 5, 2019 telephone poll of 700 likely Pasadena voters.

[Updated]  Pasadena voters overwhelmingly want the City Council to increase the city’s minimum wage to $15 an hour by July 1, 2020, according to a poll commissioned by a local activist group which supports the increase.
That is the finding of a telephone poll conducted by David Binder Research between January 30 and February 5, 2019 released on Sunday by a group called Pasadenans Organizing for Progress (known as POP!).
The report of the poll results included graphs depicting support by City Council district and among different demographic groups.
The poll found that 81% of Pasadena’s voters support this increase in the city’s minimum wage. The poll also said there is “overwhelming support” among voters in all seven City Council districts, from 75% to 89%.
The poll found widespread support from both men and women, in every age group, all ethnic groups and all political affiliations.
At the request of Pasadenans Organizing for Progress (POP), David Binder Research conducted the poll and asked three questions about the city’s minimum wage. First, voters were asked to indicate their support or opposition to the Pasadena City Council’s decision in 2016 to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2020.
Second, voters were asked to indicate their support or opposition for the City Council to vote YES this month (February 2019) to continue the gradual increase of the minimum wage to $15/hour.
Third, voters were asked if they would be more likely to re-elect or replace their current city councilor if they were to vote YES on gradually increasing the minimum wage.
David Binder Research conducted the survey of 700 likely voters who voted in November 2016 or November 20189 or have registered since November 2018 with no previous election history.
Interviews were reportedly conducted by telephone, with 69% of telephone interviews conducted via cell phone and 31% via landline from January 30th – February 5th, 2019. The margin of error for the survey is +/- 3.7%.
