As a minivan, the 2020 Toyota Sienna is plenty roomy. It can seat seven people comfortably, while tooling down the road at a good clip. All-in-all it’s practicality cannot be beat. It also offers all-wheel drive which is unique to its class and a great plus if you live somewhere there is a lot of bad weather. But exciting it is not. It’s definitely a practical car for family use.

The 2020 Toyota Sienna comes in five trim levels: L, LE, SE, XLE, and Limited. In addition to the main trims the SE, XLE, and Limited are available in a Premium subtrim. This review will focus on the Limited trim with the Premium subtrim.

At the top of the heap the Limited brings on the goodies with a sunroof, keyless ignition and entry, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert systems, a navigation system, a premium JBL sound system, and the Driver Easy Speak system, which amplifies the driver’s voice through the rear speakers. Plus xenon headlights, automatic wipers, a surround-view parking camera system, and a rear-seat entertainment system.

Pulling the Sienna is a 3.5-liter, V6 engine propelling the minivan down the road with 296 horses and 263 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Expect to get 19/city, 26/highway, and 21/combined mpg.

As befits a people mover, the interior of the Sienna is quite functional. There’s really no flash or glamorous materials used. It provides up-to-date gadgets in a plain-wrap package. With three-zone climate controls, available stowable eighth seat (not available on all wheel drive model and not included on my test model), and Entune infotainment system with up to five USB ports, the Sienna is very practicality put together.

On the highway and driving around town the Sienna is a comfortable ride. Smoothing out all but the most egregious bumps, the Sienna provides driver and passengers with comfortable travel. The V-6 engine provides plenty of power for passing and cornering is reasonable for a minivan.

Do you have a lot of people to move? Give the 2020 Toyota Sienna Limited Premium a test drive.
