A Community Conversation about Death and Dying

Published on Aug 27, 2022

Mia Miller, local death doula and massage therapist, will lead a community conversation on Tuesday, Aug. 30, on how to stay supportive of each other and connected in honoring death while considering its potential for growth.

“Death Feeds Life: A Community Conversation about Death and Dying” is an in-person event at the Altadena Main Library, sponsored by the Altadena Library District.

The discussion begins at 6 p.m.

In this introductory workshop, you’ll begin to discuss how to reduce anxiety about death and dying, build emotional intelligence and learn to be more supportive of friends, family, and neighbors serving as caretakers or otherwise dealing with a recent or imminent loss, and explore how thinking about death can help influence the way you live.

It is free to attend but registration is required. To register, visit www.altadenalibrary.org/programs/?trumbaEmbed=view%3Devent%26eventid%3D161418972.

For more information, call (626) 798-0833.

The Altadena Library is at 600 E. Mariposa Street.
