A Glimpse of What to Expect From This Year’s Masters of Taste

Published on Mar 5, 2022

On Thursday, March 3, media and other partners got a glimpse of what to expect from this year’s Masters of Taste. Since Pasadena Now is a media sponsor we got a look and taste of the goodies that will be on offer at the event on Sunday, April 3, at the Rose Bowl.

This year’s Chef Host, Vanda Asapahu of Ayara Thai was in attendance as were other participating chefs: Sara Gabriele and Adam Aro of Gabi James, Nika Shoemaker-Machado of Georgia’s Restaurant, Justin Haefler of Gracias Madre, and Cathy Asapahu of Ayara Thai.

Each restaurant presented a dish for the attendants to taste and savor. Albondigas Chimayo from Gabi James, Gretchen’s Jambalaya for Georgia’s Restaurant, Parm Pastor Taco from Gracias Madre, Boat noodle, Beef Noodle Soup from Ayara Thai and Pandan Coconut Custard Cup from Ayara Thai. CRU Winery, Gracias Madre and Humm Kombucha provided the beverage pairings for the evening.

Masters of Taste is a premier outdoor food and beverage festival on the field of the iconic Rose Bowl. In April 2019, more than 3,000 food and beverage enthusiasts strolled the 50 yard line of the Rose Bowl for the 4th Annual Masters of Taste. Guests enjoyed a spectacular array of L.A.’s best Culinary, Beverage and Sweet Masters.

More than just a gourmet food and beverage experience, Masters of Taste also provides much-needed funds for Union Station Homeless Services. Over the last 4 years, Masters of Taste has raised over $2 million dollars to benefit Union Station Homeless Services in Pasadena. 100% of your ticket purchases and upgrades are used to combat homelessness and rebuild the lives of families and individuals that are experiencing homelessness.

Tickets are still available. Use the code PASNOW22 and receive $15.00 off the ticket price. For more information and to purchase tickets visit: www.mastersoftastela.com.
