A Noise Within Adds a Week to Run of ‘Come From Away,’ Pushing the Close to Nov. 8

Published on Sep 14, 2026

A Noise Within has added a week of performances to “Come From Away,” extending the Pasadena theater’s fall musical through Sunday, Nov. 8, instead of closing it Nov. 1.

The addition leaves the start of the run untouched: previews still begin Oct. 4 and opening night is still Saturday, Oct. 10, at the company’s 3352 E. Foothill Blvd. theater.

The theater said demand drove the decision. Previews run through Oct. 9, with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday performances at 7:30 p.m.

From opening night through the new closing date, performances are Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2 and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m., the theater said. There is no Saturday matinee on Oct. 10 and no evening performance on Oct. 31.

“Come From Away” tells the story of the 38 planes diverted to Gander, Newfoundland, on Sept. 11, 2001, and the residents of the town who took in 7,000 stranded passengers. The book, music and lyrics are by Irene Sankoff and David Hein. Julia Rodriguez-Elliott directs, with music direction by Rod Bagheri.

The cast is Geoff Elliott, Lesley Fera, Amber Liekhus, Kasey Mahaffy, Ed F. Martin, Trisha Miller, Nathan Mohebbi, Cassandra Marie Murphy, David Nevell, Desmond Newson, Julianna Picasso, Hannah Sedlacek and Juliana Sloan.

Several dates carry additions. A free INsiders Discussion Group begins at 12:30 p.m. before the Oct. 11 matinee. Post-performance conversations with the artists follow the Oct. 16, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30 evening shows and the Oct. 18 and Oct. 25 matinees. Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. is Pride & Community Night, with a free social mixer at 6:30 p.m. hosted by the theater’s Pride partners. Oct. 24 is Teen Night, with events and free snacks before the show for patrons ages 13 to 19.

GalaPro closed captioning is offered at the 2 p.m. matinees on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, courtesy of the Perenchio Foundation. Student matinees are scheduled on select weekdays at 10:30 a.m.

Tickets start at $41.75 including fees, and student tickets start at $20, the theater said. Pay What You Choose seats, from $10, are available for the Oct. 7 and Oct. 8 previews beginning at noon the Monday before each performance. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. The box office number is (626) 356-3121.

The production is part of A Noise Within’s 35th anniversary season, “Those Better Angels,” and is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
