A Noise Within will present “One Man, Two Guvnors,” the Broadway comedy that earned James Corden a Tony Award and transforms Carlo Goldoni’s 18th-century Italian classic into a raucous 1960s Brighton, England romp, when a preview performance is held Friday, Sept. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
The fast-paced farce by Richard Bean follows Francis Henshall, a down-on-his-luck man juggling two employers simultaneously without either knowing about the other.
Comic chaos ensues as he scrambles to maintain his duplicitous act while hilarious misunderstandings multiply.
Julia Rodriguez-Elliott and Geoff Elliott will direct this modern adaptation of “The Servant of Two Masters,” featuring physical comedy, quick wit, and a live skiffle band performing songs composed by Grant Olding.
The production will run on A Noise Within’s intimate Redmond Stage, which seats 324 patrons with no seat more than eight rows from the stage.
The show has a running time of two hours and 30 minutes, including one intermission.
