Published on Apr 3, 2023

A Noise Within Theatre will host a staged reading of An Improbable Fiction by James DeVita and directed by Beth Lopes as part of the Noise Now series. The reading will take place tonight, April 3, at 7:30 p.m. at A Noise Within, 3352 E. Foothill Blvd.

An Improbable Fiction is a new play that imagines a meeting between several of Shakespeare’s most famous characters. The play takes place during the plague when many of Shakespeare’s plays were first performed. The characters in the play are all out of work and struggling to make ends meet. They come together at the Boar’s Head Tavern to share stories and commiserate.

The cast of An Improbable Fiction includes Susan Angelo, Kasey Mahaffy, Stanley Andrew Jackson, Philicia Saunders, Veralyn Jones, and Apollo Dukakis. The play is directed by Beth Lopes.

The Noise Now series is a new initiative at A Noise Within Theatre that offers free staged readings of new plays. The series is designed to give audiences a chance to see new work and to support emerging playwrights.

Tickets for the staged reading of An Improbable Fiction are free and can be reserved online at www.anoisewithin.org or by calling (626) 356-3100.
