Run With Us holds the run and walk every Monday, with dates scheduled through September 28.
For the next hour, it is a starting line. Runners choose a 4-mile or 6-mile route. Walkers take a 2-mile route. Route maps for all three are on Strava.
The Run With Us Monday Fun Run is set for 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, at 235 North Lake Avenue in Pasadena. It is free, according to the Playhouse Village Association.
That week’s edition is billed as “Monday Fun Run w/ Topo Athletic.” Topo Athletic, a footwear brand headquartered in Framingham, Massachusetts, will join the run, Run With Us said.
Superfeet was on the August 3 schedule. Topo Athletic followed on August 10, New Balance on August 17, Mizuno on August 24, and Asics and Superfeet on August 31.
Run With Us describes it as a social run and walk open to all paces and abilities, and says participants can meet other runners, explore the neighborhood and test shoes from the visiting brands. Participants who wear a Run With Us shirt can enter random raffle drawings, with prizes ranging from shoes to race entries and gift cards, the store said.
Run With Us also promotes two other weekly runs that start elsewhere in Pasadena: the Dog Haus Running Club on Tuesday evenings in Old Town and the Pasadena Pacers on Saturday mornings near the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center.
The Playhouse Village Association, the nonprofit formed in 1996 that manages the 32-block Playhouse Village business improvement district in Pasadena, includes the run among the district’s community events.
Participants gather in the parking lot at Run With Us, 235 North Lake Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91101. Free street parking in Playhouse Village is limited to one hour, and a City-owned lot on South Madison Avenue has about 100 spaces. The Metro A Line’s Lake Avenue and Memorial Park stations and Pasadena Transit Routes 10 and 20 serve the district.
At 7:00 p.m., the lot goes back to being a lot.
