This month, the Pasadena Bead & Design Show returns to the Pasadena Convention Center for three days of creativity, discovery, and inspiration. Visitors can browse hundreds of exhibits, meet talented artisans and tradespeople from around the world, shop for gemstones, beads, jewelry, pearls, textiles, and creative materials, and learn new skills through one of the show’s largest workshop schedules in recent years.
Hands-on workshops throughout the weekend offer something for every experience level, from first-time makers to experienced artists. This summer’s schedule includes jewelry making, bead weaving, silversmithing, wax carving, fiber arts, and design techniques taught by accomplished instructors. Among them are jewelry artist Bianca Moscatelli, who teaches wax carving for lost-wax casting, metalsmith Marissol Martins, known for sterling silver soldering and tube-set gemstone jewelry, and fiber artist Eleanor Park, whose workshops blend jewelry making with weaving and textile techniques.
As visitors explore the marketplace, they’ll have the opportunity to meet the people behind the work. Returning jewelry artist Robert Lopez brings his distinctive handcrafted metalwork back to Pasadena after many years, while Kuo Jewelry showcases beautifully crafted silver and champlevé enamel jewelry. Sunstone Mining Company offers Oregon sunstones directly from the source, and Le Plume Studios presents an ever-changing collection of gemstones, cabochons, minerals, and beads. Vintage enthusiasts can browse The Bakelite Lady’s remarkable collection of Bakelite jewelry and accessories.
Beyond jewelry and gemstones, the show features an inspiring selection of artisan goods, clothing, and wearable art. Petals to Stems creates exquisitely detailed crepe paper flowers, specializing in orchids from around the world. West Love offers thoughtfully designed clothing and wearable art, while Keennon Shaw Design transforms vintage Japanese kimono textiles into one-of-a-kind handcrafted necklaces that give new life to beautifully patterned fabrics. Together with hundreds of other independent artisans and tradespeople, these exhibitors create a marketplace filled with creativity, color, texture, and stories waiting to be discovered.
The Pasadena Bead & Design Show takes place July 31–August 2, 2026, at the Pasadena Convention Center. Show hours are Friday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 online and $10 at the door.
