The dinner-and-show experience costs $95 per person plus tax and gratuity and includes a three-course prix fixe menu. Diners will choose between pan-seared local sea bass with chive pearled couscous, roasted turnips and lemon tahini sauce, or Omaha wood-grilled steak with au gratin potato, sautéed green beans and “B-2 sauce.”
Bacchus’ promotional materials describe Sutton as “a nine-time Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist acclaimed for her luminous voice, imaginative interpretations, and extraordinary storytelling.” Hendelman’s artistry “has graced the stages of the Jeff Hamilton Trio, the Grammy-nominated Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, and collaborations with Barbra Streisand, Natalie Cole, and countless jazz luminaries,” according to the venue. Concert reviewers have compared his piano work to Oscar Peterson, Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett.
The duo has collaborated for more than 20 years, touring internationally and presenting performances around the world. The February 10 date is listed on both artists’ official websites.
Bacchus Kitchen + Wine Bar opened in 2014 and “combines eclectic seasonal menus, live music, and a curated selection of wines to create a unique dining experience, all under the visionary leadership of Chef Claud Beltran.”
