Stroll & Roll will kick off with a special performance by wheelchair dance troupe The Rollettes on the AbilityFirst YouTube and Facebook channels and will jump into the program with Hunter March (Sugar Rush on Netfflix and Nightly Pop on E!) serving as this year’s co-host with Nick Laguna, a youth participant in the after-school program at the AbilityFirst Long Beach Center.

The program will feature lively videos and stories from AbilityFirst participants and their families from more than a dozen community centers and programs across greater Los Angeles. The morning will conclude with a special performance from children’s choir OneVoice best known for their performance on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”

After the program on the AbilityFirst YouTube channel Viewers of the Stroll & Roll will be encouraged to walk/stroll and roll and get moving in their neighborhoods, backyards, or in the safety of their own homes.

During the weeks leading up to Stroll & Roll, registrants can participate in virtual activities that include a family costume challenge, a chalk art challenge TikTok dance challenge, plus videos will be posted on the AbilityFirst social media channels inviting registrants to get active and fundraise for the organization.

Founded in 1926 as the Crippled Children’s society, AbilityFirst has been helping children and adults with disabilities for more than 94 years. And for more than 35 years AbilityFirst has held a walk-related, and family-friendly community event to raise funds for programs that span after school enrichment and college coaching, to supported employment and group homes.

The funds from this year’s Stroll & Roll will be used to maintain the resources needed to meet the challenges with the Coronavirus, including remote programming, alternate location services and technology needs for the more than 2,000 participants and their families served across Los Angeles, and its fully-accessible camp, Camp Paivika.
