Pasadena’s Hastings Branch Library will host a free “ACT-MOVE-FLOW” creative arts therapy program on Monday, Jan. 12, inviting teens and adults of all abilities to explore music, movement and improvisational drama to support emotional expression and social connection.

The one-hour session runs from 11 a.m. to noon at Hastings Branch Library, 3325 E. Orange Grove Blvd., and is part of Pasadena Public Library’s “All Abilities” series. Admission is free, and participants may also register for a second ACT-MOVE-FLOW program set for Jan. 26 at 11 a.m.

The session will be led by LA Musica Therapy, an approved Regional Center service provider whose mission is “to promote wellness, enhance quality of life, and foster personal growth through safe, evidence-based, and enjoyable clinical music therapy interventions and adaptive music lessons.”

ACT-MOVE-FLOW combines mirroring movements through dance therapy, beat-making and call-and-response songwriting, and mask-making with storytelling to help participants develop self-awareness and social connections.

ACT-MOVE-FLOW will run on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, at 11 a.m. to noon. Hastings Branch Library, 3325 East Orange Grove Blvd., Pasadena. For more information, call (626) 744-7262 or visit https://www.cityofpasadena.net/library/?trumbaEmbed=view%3Devent%26eventid%3D193748942.
