All Saints Church of Pasadena marks its annual Homecoming Sunday on Sept. 14 with worship, community festivities, and a produce exchange, underscoring its longstanding role as a civic anchor in Pasadena.
The day began with services at 7:30 and 10 a.m., featuring a sermon by Tim Rich and music from the Canterbury and Coventry Choirs.
Following the morning service, the church hosts a free parish fair with carnival games, classic treats, and family-friendly activities open to the public.
A central feature of the event is the “Harvest Share,” where attendees exchange surplus garden produce and receive advice from local gardening experts — a nod to the church’s emphasis on sustainability and neighborly support.
Known for its progressive activism and interfaith outreach, All Saints has long served as a meeting ground for Pasadena’s diverse communities. Church leaders said the event reflects their commitment to inclusion, civic dialogue, and public service.
“Homecoming Sunday is about connection,” the church said in a statement. “It’s one way we help strengthen the social fabric of Pasadena.”
The church’s year-round programming includes justice initiatives, educational offerings, and parish life groups that extend its impact beyond Sunday gatherings. Partner organizations for this year’s Homecoming included neighborhood gardening collectives and local outreach ministries.
Public services expected at the fair included voter registration, mental health resources, and information booths from Pasadena-based nonprofits.
