Alta Arts Crafts Fair Unites Community After Wildfire

Now, in a act of collective resilience, local artists and neighbors will gather for the first-ever ALTA Arts Crafts Fair on Saturday, October 18, united by a single purpose: to begin rebuilding not just art but hope itself while supporting the rebuilding and honoring of in Altadena’s creative community, with special focus on recovery after the Eaton Canyon Fire.

“This milestone event is more than just a fair—it’s a heartfelt celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and the community that sustains us,” the ALTA Arts Collective announced in advance of the gathering.

“For the first time, ALTA will bring together local artists, makers, and neighbors for a full day of art, connection, and discovery.”

The fair is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall 719, located at 455 East Woodbury Road in Altadena.

This milestone event is not just about displaying art: it is an urgent effort to honor and uplift in Altadena’s creative community at a pivotal moment, bringing into focus the organization’s commitment to elevating local talent and supporting artists especially affected by recent trauma.

Participation at the fair requires artists and vendors to pay a $25 nonrefundable application fee and a booth/exhibitor fee of $75 to $78, with payments due by early September deadlines.

The event enforces a strict no booth-sharing policy, and only juried exhibitors may participate, spotlighting the organizers’ commitment to fairness and quality.

The fair will proceed rain or shine so artists and attendees can count on the event regardless of the weather.

Featured artists on the vendor list include Alfred Haymond, Austin Scott, Beverly Merrill, Clarissa Castillo-Ramsey and Daarina Abdus-Samad, among others.

Both the venue and the community-driven purpose reflect the legacy and dedication of the ALTA Arts Collective—a group determined to nurture creativity in Altadena for years to come.
