Children in Altadena are invited to preserve their favorite summer memories through a hands-on art activity at the Altadena Main Library throughout August.

Running from Friday, Aug. 1, through Saturday, Aug. 30, the “Summer Memory Picture Frames” program is a free, drop-in event available during the library’s regular hours.

The activity is held at the Children’s Desk in the Children’s Room at the Main Library, located at 600 E. Mariposa St., in Altadena.

Designed for children of all ages, the program invites young participants to decorate picture frames using supplies provided by the library—including crayons, markers and stickers.

No registration is required, and all materials are available free of charge.

“This is a creative and reflective way for children to mark the end of summer,” said library representatives via the event listing.

The Altadena Main Library is open Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event is offered daily on a drop-in basis during those hours.

“Summer Memory Picture Frames” will run on Friday, Aug. 1, as a drop-in event throughout library hours.
