The Guinness World Records 2025 edition, which marks the publication’s 70th anniversary, will showcase the remarkable bunny collection of Steve Lubanski and Candace Frazee, displayed at The Bunny Museum in Altadena. Its inclusion marks a significant milestone for the museum, which has been steadily expanding its unique assemblage of rabbit-related items.

In January 2023, Guinness World Records certified the museum’s collection at 40,550 items, solidifying its status as a record-breaking compilation. Since then, the collection has continued to grow, now boasting over 46,000 pieces dedicated to all things bunny.

“The Bunny Museum received its third Guinness World Record in 2023. Previous awards were in 2011 and 1999,” Frazee tells SFGATE in an article published in March[a]. “Those years were each a Year of the Bunny. We did that on purpose and plan to continue updating the record count every 12 years.”

The Bunny Museum, located at 2605 Lake Avenue in Altadena, offers visitors a whimsical journey through 16 galleries filled with an eclectic array of rabbit memorabilia. Established in 1998, the museum began as a personal collection of bunny-themed gifts exchanged between Frazee and Lubanski.

Over the years, it has evolved into a vast repository of rabbit-related artifacts, earning it the moniker “The Hoppiest Place in the World.” The museum’s extensive collection includes ceramic rabbits, stuffed bunnies, cookie jars, and even freeze-dried rabbits, as well as rare and antique items and modern interpretations of bunny art.

Visitors to The Bunny Museum can also view nine Rose Parade float bunnies and three live rabbits, adding to the institution’s charm and appeal. The museum provides insights into the cultural significance of rabbits in literature, film, advertising, and everyday life, offering a fun and informative outing for visitors of all ages.

Guinness World Records 2025 will feature over 1,000 images, eye-watering feats, and mind-blowing figures across its fully revised and updated pages. The book, which has sold more than 150 million copies in over 100 countries, continues its tradition of showcasing extraordinary achievements, wrapped up in an exciting new cover design by 3D digital artist Chris Labrooy.
