The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens is gearing up for its highly anticipated annual event, “An Evening Among the Roses.” On Friday, June 2, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the picturesque venue will transform into a vibrant garden party, honoring and applauding the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) community for their invaluable contributions to The Huntington.
Attendees can expect a night of enchantment as they immerse themselves in the captivating beauty of the Rose Garden. With lively music, delectable hors d’oeuvres, and specialty cocktails on offer, this one-night-only celebration promises an unforgettable experience for all who attend.
In addition to the main festivities, the evening will feature two distinct programs. VIP guests will be treated to an exclusive cocktail reception from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the south terrace of the Huntington Art Gallery. This event will include a special performance by Mariachi Arcoiris de Los Angeles, the world’s first LGBTQ+ mariachi group, as well as an opportunity to view the exhibition “The Hilton Als Series: Njideka Akunyili Crosby.”
As the clock strikes 7:00 p.m., the garden party will commence. Attendees will enjoy a performance and an evening of merriment. Against the backdrop of the starlit sky and the radiant hues of blooming roses, guests will have the opportunity to dance the night away.
