An Exhibition of Works by Fine Artist Sunny Samuel Opens Saturday at the SPARC Gallery in South Pasadena

Published on Mar 13, 2022

“Clarity,” a solo exhibition of works by fine artist Sunny Samuel, hosted by the South Pasadena Arts Council, will open March 19, 2022, at the SPARC Gallery in South Pasadena with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m.

Sunny Samuel, inspired by his interest in cellular biology, describes his drawings, paintings, and sculpture/installations as explorations of micro/macroscopic activity and otherworldly landscapes.

“Through light and transparency, shadows and reflections, and the act of focusing and unfocusing,” Samuel sets the stage “for strange forms inhabiting new territories; a consideration of spaces, strings, and systems beyond our reach but within our view.”

“Clarity” will run through May 14, 2022. Admission is free. Operated by the South Pasadena Arts Council, the SPARC Gallery is located inside the Chamber of Commerce at 1121 Mission St., South Pasadena. (Masks are recommended.)

Following the March 19 opening, SPARC Gallery hours vary. To schedule a visit, contact Blue Trimarchi at (626) 676-4195.)

SPARC is open to people in all the creative fields, art appreciators, art patrons, educators, and any others interested in helping the arts thrive in South Pasadena and neighboring communities. For more, see www.sopasartscouncil.org.
