Ancient Oaxacan Chocolate Methods Come to Pasadena Workshop

Hands-on class explores time-honored traditions from chocolate’s original homeland

In one of chocolate’s original homelands, cacao held sacred significance for centuries before becoming today’s confection.

A rare hands-on class in Pasadena offers the chance to experience these ancestral traditions firsthand.

The Oaxacan Hot Chocolate Making Class, scheduled for Tuesday, October 14, from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Circadian (1570 E. Colorado Blvd., in Pasadena), promises an immersive journey into the history and cultural significance of cacao in Oaxaca.

Using time-honored methods and traditional tools, participants will learn the authentic process of making Oaxacan-style hot chocolate.

With limited spots available, interested participants must RSVP to secure their place.
