The rapid-fire artistry of Chinese Face Changing—where performers switch colorful masks in the blink of an eye—will dazzle audiences this fall as South Pasadena celebrates one of Asia’s most cherished traditions with a free community festival.

The SPCC Moon Festival, co-hosted by the South Pasadena Chinese-American Club and the City of South Pasadena, will take place on Saturday, October 4, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the South Pasadena Community Room and Library Park (1100 Oxley Street, South Pasadena).

Attendees can enjoy kung fu demonstrations, cultural dancing and singing, and story time led by Dual Immersion Teacher Judy Ho.

Hands-on activities include lantern making, dragon ribbon dance workshops, chopstick challenges, and a sidewalk chalk drawing contest where participants can create art on the pavement.

Admission is free, with food and drinks available for purchase.
