Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena has declared July as Member Appreciation Month, unveiling a campaign to boost membership and showcase its various tiers and benefits.

Throughout July, the center is offering a 10% discount on most membership levels, ranging from the basic Friend Membership to the premium Art Lover’s Circle Membership.

“We’re highlighting all things membership, including our different tiers, variety of benefits, and amazing Armory members,” the organization said on Facebook. To show our appreciation, we’re making memberships 10% off for the ENTIRE month of July.”

The Friend Membership, typically priced at $60 ($55 tax-deductible), will be available for $54 ($49 tax-deductible) during the promotion. This entry-level tier provides benefits such as discounts on adult art classes and early registration privileges.

For families, the $90 Family Membership ($80 tax-deductible) remains unchanged in price. It grants access to discounted classes for all members and reciprocal benefits at over 1,000 museums through the North America Reciprocal Museum Association.

Higher-tier memberships, like the Studio Circle at $225 ($210 tax-deductible, regularly $250), include additional perks such as an “I ♥ the Armory” red apron. The Gallery Circle, priced at $450 ($350 tax-deductible) for July, adds a complimentary exhibition catalog.

Top-tier memberships, including the Curator Circle and Art Lover’s Circle, offer exclusive donor event invitations alongside all lower-tier benefits. These are available at $900 ($800 tax-deductible) and $2,250 ($2,050 tax-deductible), respectively, during the promotion.

As part of its membership perks, the Armory Center has partnered with several local Pasadena businesses to offer discounts to members. These include art supply stores, restaurants, and specialty shops.

Blue Rooster Art Supplies, with locations in Pasadena and Silverlake, provides a 10% discount to Armory members. This offer extends to both their fine art and craft supplies.

Food enthusiasts can enjoy discounts at various eateries. DerWolf, an American restaurant in Old Pasadena, offers a 15% discount, while Dog Haus Biergarten provides 10% off its craft hot dogs and beer selection.

Other participating businesses include Mama M Sushi (10% off, dine-in only, not valid for happy hour or lunch specials), Prince Street Pizza, and Sage Regenerative Kitchen (10% off, Pasadena location only), each offering discounts to Armory members.

We Olive & Wine Bar, specializing in California olive oils and wines, extends a 10% discount on all retail and wine bar purchases to Armory members.

The discounts cannot be combined with other promotions, as specified by each participating business, the announcement said.

The Armory Center for the Arts aims to strengthen its membership base through this month-long initiative, highlighting the value of supporting local arts and cultural institutions.
