The Makers Hive Market, which holds events in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Colorado, has made the three-story Pasadena Commons complex a recurring stop since August 2025, according to the organization’s Eventbrite page. The February market is free to attend and runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 140-146 South Lake Ave.
Vendor spots for Saturday’s event filled to capacity, with the waitlist closed, according to the organization’s website. The market describes itself as a curated event, meaning vendor applications are reviewed selectively rather than on a first-come, first-served basis, the organization’s website states.
Live music runs from 1 to 4 p.m. The first 25 guests will receive a free doodle drawing at the event, according to the Eventbrite listing. Food is available from nearby eateries at the Commons, which houses restaurants including Sugarfish, Mercado and Green Street Cafe.
The organization was founded in 2020 by two women-of-color small business owners, according to its Eventbrite organizer page, which describes the market’s mission as “Community Over Competition.” The group has organized 159 events over approximately four years, according to Eventbrite, and has expanded to locations including Santa Monica Place, the Anaheim Packing District and The Gateway in Salt Lake City.
The market is scheduled to return to Pasadena Commons monthly, with dates posted through June 2026 on the organization’s vendor applications page. The next event is set for March 21.
“We believe there is room for everyone to be successful,” the organization states on its Eventbrite page. “Our goal is to create an environment where small businesses feel safe and supported.”
