When Jove Wang swept both the Best of Show and Artists’ Choice Awards at the American Impressionist Society’s 22nd Annual National Juried Exhibition in 2021, he established himself as more than just another talented painter.
Now, the master artist who achieved Signature Member status with the prestigious Laguna Plein Air Painters Association in 2022 is bringing his revolutionary “Whole-Part-Whole” teaching methodology to Southern California.
Wang will lead a three-day Master Artist Workshop at the California Art Club from August 25 to 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.
His signature teaching approach spotlights overall composition before detailed work and then reintegration—a method that has become a hallmark of his instruction.
The workshop’s location adds significance to the experience.
“The Arroyo Seco is both one of the most historic locations in the region and one of the most engagingly scenic. Its visual appeal has inspired generations of artists…” said Michael Obermeyer, California Art Club president.
Registration is managed by the California Art Club.
