Theatre 360 in Pasadena is inviting anyone interested in learning how to dance to hip hop music to their virtual class, Beginning Hip Hop, which starts on Wednesday, Dec. 9, for $45.
Join Victoria Brown for three classes, an hour each, for easy lessons that can be practiced at home and taken to the clubs once they’ve opened back up.
Brown – dancer, choreographer, program director, and teacher – holds a solid record of inspiring young dancers. Her creative passion has fueled her commitment to excellence in dance for over 20 years. She has mastered both the academic and creative sides of dance and is accomplished in a variety of technical styles.
Brown holds a bachelor of arts degree in dance with a minor in business from San Jose State University. Professionally, she was accepted to the Broadway Dance Center Internship Program in 2006 in New York following her summer training at the historic Jacob’s Pillow Summer Dance Intensive in 2005.
Brown’s extensive experience directing dance programs in both academic and studio settings has given her a deep-seated passion for art form. Her studio experience includes working at the Academy of Music and Dance,from 2007 to 2015. There she taught beginning through advanced levels of jazz, contemporary, lyrical and hip hop. She was also one of the first teachers at the studio when it opened, helping it to grow from one student to 200 within two years. She also started and directed the studio’s competition team.
Currently the dance coach for the Mira Costa High School Dance Team, Brown has transformed the team’s culture into a strong technique performance unit implementing new standards of excellence.
She is the founder and artistic director of Artistry Performing Arts.
