Rockefeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt, or, more recently, Warren Buffet, Bill & Melinda Gates, or MacKenzie Scott. Here in the Pasadena area, we have countless philanthropists – generous people just like you – who donate what time and funds they can to support their passions in a wealth of causes.
This spring, Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) invites you to become a PCF Endowment Builder and leverage your personal philanthropy to shape a vibrant future for the greater Pasadena area.
A Helping Hand in Pasadena since 1953
The past year has taught all of us that “community” is a delicate ecosystem that takes our collective helping hands to nurture and strengthen residents, organizations, and businesses. PCF has long been a helping hand in the greater Pasadena area. Since 1953, its mission has been to build perpetual support for our community through endowment funds.
Endowed funds (or “endowments”) are designed to keep the principal amount intact while using the investment income for charitable efforts. Endowments are long-lasting and sustainable, ensuring perpetual support for the causes you love. These “forever gifts” provide flexibility for the Foundation’s robust grant making to local nonprofit organizations and the long-term sustainability that ensures PCF can meet not only today’s needs but future needs as well.
Those with charitable intent can create their own endowment for as little as $10,000 (or $5,000 over two years). Endowments can be in your own name, honor someone who has passed, or celebrate an important milestone in your life.
