Third@First’s “The Belrose Duo Plays Romantic Favorites” will bring an hour of Romantic-era music to downtown Pasadena on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at First United Methodist Church of Pasadena.

From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., cellist David Garrett and pianist Junko Ueno Garrett will perform Sergei Rachmaninov’s Cello Sonata in G minor, Op. 19, along with favorite romantic encore pieces.

The concert is part of Third@First, a longstanding series of free monthly performances hosted at the historic church at 500 East Colorado Boulevard.

The series, founded in 2014 by Junko Ueno Garrett and then–music director Sébastien Vallée, presents world-class artists, resident ensembles and local performers.

All concerts are offered without an admission charge, supported instead by donations from supporters of fine music.

Garrett, a member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s cello section since 2000, teaches at California State University, Long Beach’s Bob Cole Conservatory of Music and performs both Baroque and modern repertoire.

Junko Ueno Garrett, a Kawai artist and Occidental College piano faculty member, serves as Third@First’s artistic coordinator and co‑founded the series.

She has said her goal is to provide the highest quality music possible, offered free of charge for anyone to attend.
