BMO cuts the ribbon on its Pasadena East financial center at 1739 E. Colorado Blvd. at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
The ceremony is by invitation and the registration deadline passed Aug. 17. What opens to the public is the branch itself: a full-service location handling personal and commercial banking, open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Festivities begin at 2 p.m. and the ribbon-cutting follows at 2:30 p.m., the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce said. The chamber gives an end time of 3 p.m.; the bank’s invitation gives 4 p.m.
The event will include food, live entertainment and a door prize, and free onsite parking will be available, according to the bank, which also said space was limited. The chamber described the occasion as BMO marking its chamber membership.
The branch has an ATM, wheelchair access and safe deposit boxes. BMO’s other Pasadena branch is at 300 E. Colorado Blvd., Suite 140.
The opening comes during a California expansion BMO detailed in a March 17 news release, when it said it would add more than 130 financial centers statewide over five years, growth of more than 50% on the more than 220 it already operates.
