Boston Court Interprets Friday’s ‘Pericles’ in American Sign Language

Published on Sep 3, 2026

Boston Court Pasadena will present its 7:30 p.m. performance of “Pericles” on Friday, Sept. 4, with American Sign Language interpretation, at 70 N. Mentor Ave.

It is the run’s designated ASL-interpreted performance. A post-show Illumination on acting and interpreted performance follows.

Accessible seating is available in both of the theater’s performance spaces, assisted listening devices are free, and the restrooms are wheelchair accessible, the theater says. Patrons borrowing a device should be prepared to leave a credit card or driver’s license with the box office or front-of-house manager. The company asks patrons bringing a service animal to call ahead so seating can be reserved.

The company recommends the play for ages 13 and up and advises that it contains references to incest, threats of sexual violence, and depictions of human trafficking. The production uses theatrical haze and strobe lighting effects, the company says. Running time is about two hours and 15 minutes with one intermission, though the company says the script is still evolving and the run time may change.
