Hundreds of award-winning specimen plants and dozens of vendors selling rare, ethically propagated cacti and succulents will fill The Huntington for three days starting Friday, June 12, as the Cactus and Succulent Society of America presents its 59th Annual Show and Sale.

The show runs Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with workshops by local experts and growers scheduled throughout the weekend. The Cactus and Succulent Society of America, an international organization founded to advance the appreciation, research and conservation of cacti and succulents, has partnered with The Huntington for nearly a century — and the annual show is the most public expression of that long collaboration.

The 2026 edition carries the theme “Growing the Future,” reflecting the organization’s focus on conservation and ethical propagation. The sale’s vendor lineup typically includes specialty growers traveling from across the western United States and beyond, with plants ranging from common succulents that suit a beginner’s windowsill to rare specimens that draw advanced collectors. Many varieties offered at the sale are not widely available through commercial nurseries.

Daily capacity is limited, and the show is open only to visitors with paid Huntington admission or Huntington membership. Advance online timed-entry tickets to The Huntington are required for all visitors — including CSSA and Huntington members — and no walk-ins will be admitted. Visitors should plan their day accordingly, as The Huntington’s 120 acres of gardens and several galleries can easily absorb a full day’s exploration alongside the show.

Photography of the show’s award-winning specimens is generally permitted in display areas, and many vendors welcome questions about care for purchased plants.
