Cancer Support Community Pasadena’s Ladies Week Out Set for Late October

Published on Oct 5, 2020

Cancer Support Community Pasadena (CSCP) is putting a 2020 spin on its annual Ladies Night Out to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this highly anticipated event. “Our sensational Ladies Week Out Co-chairs and Committee are not just planning one night of fun, but rather an entire week of festivities, to honor the women in our lives who have been touched by cancer,” says Patricia Ostiller, CSCP’s Executive Director.

CSCP’s Ladies Week Out Co-Chairs are Melissa Alcorn, Julie Kenworth, and Dana Naples, along with Committee members Denise Bieker, Kathleen Briley, Christina Kempton, Vicky Mulligan, Kimberly Ostiller, Analily Park, Aida Petro, Linda Polwrek, Stephanie Poole, Karen Barsamian, Denise Borgia, Stephanie Miller, Vania Peterson, and Suzy Sheedy.

“The week of October 26th will be full of opportunities to give back to our community that has given so much to CSCP over the years,” remarks Kim Ferreira, CSCP’s Events Manager. “We invite everyone to shop, dine, get active, and have fun in support of CSCP all week long.”

An ever-growing list of shops and restaurants will be holding special fundraising events and offering discounts to Ladies Week Out participants. To date, community partners include: Salutations Home (salutationshome.com), Pearls (pearlsltd.com), J. McLaughlin (jmclaughlin.com), Southern Roots (southernrootsgifts.com), Place Vendome (plvendome.com), LATHER (lather.com), Shutters on the Beach (www.shuttersonthebeach.com), Merle Norman, Montrose (merlenormanstudio.com/ca/montrose), and Mason Grey (masongreyla.com). Online options will be available as well so people can support these local businesses and CSCP from the safety and comfort of their own homes.

Participants can make the most of Ladies Week Out by purchasing a “Passport to Support” at cscpasadena.org/fundraisingevents and collecting stamps from vendors for the chance to win exclusive Ladies Week Out prizes.

Also, as part of Ladies Week Out, CSCP is launching its first ever virtual walk/run/ride. For just $25, participants can sign up to run, walk, or ride in support of CSCP at a time and place of their own choosing during the week. Participants are encouraged to post photos, videos and messages of support on social media.

Raffle tickets are available for purchase, with a staycation at the luxurious Shutters on the Beach as one of the prizes available. The week will close with an online Halloween BINGO celebration on the evening of October 31st, with costumes highly encouraged; the first BINGO card is just $20.

Please consider participating in Ladies Week Out as a sponsor, partner, or donor. Your support is vital and helps fund the virtual programs CSCP offers those facing cancer during these isolating times. “Our members are using our free virtual services with greater frequency this year, underscoring the importance of our work for families facing cancer,” added Ostiller.

Sponsors, donors, and advertisers have the opportunity to reach hundreds of Ladies Week Out participants and potentially thousands of customers across the region through CSCP’s ad drops, signage, and creative marketing solutions.
