Enter the 5th Annual Pasadena Pride Month Celebration, landing on Saturday, June 13 at Pasadena City Hall with the kind of lineup that makes a free event feel like a splurge. Singer-songwriter Virr takes the stage alongside drag icons from 2 Hot 2 Handle — including the inimitable Rock M. Sakura — for an evening that’s equal parts performance, dance contest, and community reunion.
Wander through famous, unknown underground photographer Gilbert B. Weingourt’s photo display, “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness,” grab something from the food trucks, and let the kids loose on the inflatables while you catch up with the neighbors you’ve been meaning to see since the Rose Bowl.
Local LGBTQIA+ organizations and community partners will be on hand, which means this is less a concert and more a full-on town square moment — the kind Pasadena does better than most cities twice its size.
Free, family-friendly, and right in the middle of Garfield Heights. Your Saturday night just got plans.
Saturday, June 13, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pasadena City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave., Pasadena. For more call (626) 744-7500 or visit CityOfPasadena.net. Free admission; food trucks on-site.
