A church in Pasadena is inviting artists of every background and belief system to explore themes of divine light in its second annual community art exhibition.

First Church of the Nazarene’s Gallery Doxa will showcase “Bathed in the Same Light” beginning Friday, October 3, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the church’s Gilmore Hall at 3700 East Sierra Madre Boulevard. The free exhibition welcomes artwork from community members regardless of age, experience level, or religious affiliation.

“Artists of all ages and levels of experience are invited to submit pieces of artwork in any medium to Gallery Doxa’s Bathed in the Same Light art show,” according to the church’s call for submissions.

This year’s exhibition expands beyond traditional two-dimensional work to include sculpture and other three-dimensional art, all centered on the theme of God’s light shining on all people. The show operates in two phases, with the October 11 opening displaying every submitted piece. A curated second exhibition will run from November 30 to December 24, featuring select works.

“PazNaz’s second annual Gallery Doxa art show ‘Bathed in the Same Light’ is coming soon! Last year’s show was a huge success and we can’t wait to see what this year will bring,” the church announced.

The inaugural Gallery Doxa opened with the theme “Hope, Peace, Love, Joy.”

Gallery Doxa: Bathed in the Same Light will run on Friday, Oct. 3 at 6-9 p.m. Gilmore Hall, 3700 East Sierra Madre Blvd., Pasadena. For more information, call (626) 351-9631 or visit https://www.paznaz.org/event/gallery-doxa-hope-peace-joy-love-985/. Ticket prices: Free
