The Beverly Hills International Music Festival will present Serenata In Tre, showcasing three distinguished classical musicians in an intimate concert setting. The August 8 performance at the Hollywood Piano showroom in Pasadena aims to blend traditional masterpieces with contemporary compositions for local classical music enthusiasts.
“Each performer brings a unique perspective and depth to the music,” says Beverly Hills International Music Festival Director Sylviane Herzog. “We are thrilled to present this incredible program that pays homage to classical tradition while celebrating contemporary innovation.”
The evening will feature renowned Italian organist Donato Giupponi performing on an 8-foot Steinway piano. Giupponi will be joined by John Walz, principal cellist of the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra, and internationally acclaimed soprano Veronica Bell, a concert soloist and recording artist.
The program will tour the classical music landscape through beloved masterpieces from Bach and Mozart. The trio will also perform works by Italian romantics Verdi and Puccini, alongside contemporary pieces by modern Italian composer Carlotta Ferrari.
The concert takes place at Hollywood Piano, a landmark in Pasadena filled with Hollywood history. The venue features every type of piano ever made, from the first Christofory relic to modern digital models. Concertgoers are encouraged to arrive early to explore the store’s extensive collection.
Giupponi previously performed at the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles on August 3, playing the grand organ. For this Hollywood Piano performance, he will transition to the more intimate piano setting.
The Beverly Hills International Music Festival operates as part of the nonprofit DMG Music Association. The organization focuses on helping young aspiring and professional musicians develop their skills and expand their repertoire.
