The Coffee Shop Jazz Trio will perform Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 8:30 a.m. at Jones Coffee Roasters, continuing their weekly series of free jazz performances in Pasadena.
“The Coffee Shop Jazz Trio, led by the legendary pianist Matt Politano, presents modern jazz and Latin fusion every Tuesday morning, starting at 8:30 a.m.,” according to Jones Coffee Roasters’ official music program.
The trio features Matt Politano on piano, Blake White on stand-up bass, and Mark Ferber on drums. Jones Coffee describes their style as “Modern Jazz / Latin Fusion.”
The performance takes place at Jones Coffee Roasters, located at 693 S. Raymond Ave. in Pasadena. The venue operates daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the jazz performances run every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at no charge.
“The core group includes Blake White on stand-up bass and Mark Ferber on drums. Throughout the year, guest musicians join the trio for special performances. Early arrival is highly recommended to reserve seating,” according to the coffee shop’s event information.
