On Thursday, October 16, Shepherd’s Door invites people in Pasadena to witness “Color of Strength” at American Legion Post 13— a free, public exhibition that harnesses creative expression to support survivors of domestic violence.
Featuring artwork made by participants in the nonprofit’s Healing Arts Program, the event spotlights personal recovery, empowerment, and the transformative effect of trauma-informed art workshops.
Attendees are welcomed to join from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., where they may also participate in a silent auction to support art supplies, scholarships, and future healing workshops.
“This exhibit is a powerful reminder of the resilience and strength of survivors,” said Tunisia Offray, the board vice president/co-director.
“Each piece of art reflects a journey of courage, hope, and healing. By joining us, community members can witness firsthand the transformative impact of creativity in recovery.”
The event is open to everyone and stands as an invitation to celebrate the courage of survivors and promote healing through art.
