Community Plant Swap Planning for Tuesday

Published on Jun 5, 2022

The Altadena Library District is hosting a Community Plant Swap Tuesday, June 7 from 6 to 8 p.m., on the lawn of Eliot Arts Magnet, located at 2184 Lake Ave. A plant swap is exactly what is sounds like—a forum for swapping out plants with fellow gardeners, according to the experts at www.gardeningknowhowto.com.

Standard Design Group Nurseries, which has a new location at 1950 Lincoln Ave. in  Pasadena, will be at the Community Plant Swap to give some useful tips for how to care for a diversity of plants throughout Southern California. It’s an opportunity for you to meet the team from this new community business and learn how to best care for your plants.

Likewise, the Altadena Library’s Youth and Family Services Department will be hosting a plant-themed craft for kids and signing families up for Summer Reading 2022: Read Beyond the Beaten Path, which includes Children’s Reading Programs, a Teen Volunteer Challenge, and Adult Reading and Activity Challenges.

The event is free to attend. Just bring your favorite plant to swap and share with your neighbors.
