For LGBTQ+ individuals navigating both personal dreams and community recovery, a free vision board workshop promises something deeper than typical goal-setting: a chance to envision authentic lives that honor their values and chosen families.
The workshop, scheduled for Friday, September 19, at 1 p.m., will take place at the Pasadena Village Office Community Room, located at 236 W. Mountain St., Suite 113, in Pasadena.
The event is part of Pasadena Village’s fire relief and LGBTQ+ programming, designed to bring community members together during challenging times.
“This isn’t just any vision board class — it’s an invitation to envision a life that reflects you, your values, and the spaces where you thrive,” according to the workshop’s promotional description.
The session will feature guided reflection, collage-making, and small-group sharing, focusing on helping participants visualize their personal values, chosen family, and creative paths.
All materials — including magazines, paper, and glue — will be provided, though attendees are encouraged to bring personal photos or words of affirmation.
Leading the workshop is Clarissa Castillo-Ramsey, who holds a PsyD in organizational development and is founder of ClarissaStudio.
She specializes in integrating abstract art into leadership and personal growth, with expertise in visualization techniques for personal and career goal attainment.
