Dare to Take the Halloweenland Drive-Thru Experience Hosted by Pasadena Foursquare Church

Published on Oct 28, 2020

Pasadena Foursquare Church (PFC) is continuing its annual Halloweenland event, which for decades has provided a safe place where families can have fun, encounter imagination in reality, and receive lots of candy on Halloween night.

This year, Halloweenland will be an interactive drive-thru experience on Saturday, October 31, adapted in order to still provide “The Best Halloween Party in Pasadena” while observing physical distancing.

As in previous Halloweenland events, families can still enjoy all the features of the signature PFC Halloween event –  immersive scenes such as Hero Headquarters, where the world of superheroes comes to life; the land of Fortnite, where you are sure to see the Battle Bus, a Loot Llama and dancing Fortnite characters; Candyland Kingdom, where you can expect delicious surprises; and Star Wars Land, where you can expect to encounter iconic scenes from the series – all from the comfort of your car.

In this contactless drive-thru Halloween event, you and your family will travel safely through the PFC compound, and the Halloweenland world will come to life through set pieces, props, live actors, lighting and other ways to get you and your group immersed into this imaginative journey.

Guests will be required to stay in their vehicles at all times and wear masks if they roll down their window. No walk ups, motorcycles, RVs or bikes will be permitted to participate in the drive-thru, PFC said.

Entry into Halloweenland is through the PFC’s south parking lot on Harkness Ave., where your first stop is Hero Headquarters. The land of Fortnite comes next, and as you make your way out of the Fortnite battle zone, friendly subjects of the Candyland Kingdom will greet you, and you may get free bags of candy and cakes.

Finally, Star Wars Land comes up, featuring characters and scenes from the movie series – including, possibly, a Jedi knight!

Aside from everything being free of charge, you also get a chance to win prizes and giveaways. Each person who arrives at Halloweenland will be in the drawing for a $100 cash card raffle. Each person in Halloween costume will also receive an extra entry to the raffle.

Not only that, Halloweenland also includes a Car Costume Contest, which takes the place of the PFC’s annual costume contest. All you need to do is give your car a Halloween makeover before you come to Halloweenland, and it will be entered into the car costume contest; the public will vote online to select the winner.

The owner of the winning car will receive a $50 e-gift card to BJ’s Restaurants.

Pasadena Foursquare Churchis located at 174 Harkness Ave., Pasadena.

Halloweenland is open from noon to up to 5 p.m. No reservations or tickets are required.
